IT-Translation Investment is a first-stage seed fund, which was established in 2011 to enable researchers to obtain funding sufficiently early to transform their cutting-edge technologies into products and services which are innovative and marketable. CDC Entreprises (Bpifrance) and INRIA were the first to invest in it, joined in 2013 by the European Investment Fund (EIF). The fund currently amounts to 30 million euros. IT-Translation manages the fund and safeguards the investments by co-founding the start-ups it invests in.
